Church

After serving Sheerness for 175 years it looked as if our United Reformed Church, with a dwindling congregation and crumbling foundations, would have to close. Yet a decade on and £1.5 million in fundraising later our beautiful little church has been restored to its former glory. Along the way worshippers turned to the town’s Methodist church for a place to pray. The friendship grew so strong that the two groups have returned to the new church together. The church has been refurbished not only for use as a place of Christian worship but also as a concert, conference, training venue with first class lighting and audio visual facilities. Sunday Service is held in the Church starting at 10.30am. Entrance to the Church is in Hope Street. Church Coffee Mornings are held on Tuesday and Saturdays mornings, 9:30am-11:30am and all are welcome. For Coffee Mornings please use the entrance in Rose Street. A number of fundraising events are also held throughout the year. If you would like to come and chat to someone from the church or just sit quietly and pray please ask at reception and we will see what we can do to help.
